De Eerste Kamer heeft de tijdelijke Coronawet aangenomen. Deze wet vervangt de bestaande noodverordeningen en moet de coronamaatregelen een structurele juridische grondslag geven. De wet geldt in eerste aanleg voor drie maanden.
De Eerste Kamer heeft een tweetal moties met betrekking tot de tijdelijke Coronawet aangenomen. De eerste motie verzoekt de regering om voor iedere maatregel en/of ministeriële regeling op basis van de Coronawet vooraf concrete, toetsbare indicatoren vast te leggen. De tweede motie betreft een verzoek aan de regering om mogelijk te maken dat de Eerste en Tweede Kamer zeggenschap krijgen over verlenging van de wet.
De wet treedt op een bij koninklijk besluit te bepalen tijdstip in werking. Dat tijdstip kan voor de verschillende artikelen of onderdelen daarvan verschillend worden vastgesteld.
